Watersheds, Ocean Basins and Continental Drainage Systems
Students will learn how ocean basins are formed. They will become aware of what processes lead to continual drainage systems: like glaciation, continental drift, erosion and volcanic action.
Provide examples of how technologies have been developed to investigate our ocean floor but also how these technologies are both negative and positive.
Students will learn about public and private Canadian institutions that support scientific and technological research involving our ocean.
Outcome 1.2.1 investigate and describe, with technological examples from various sources, processes that lead to the development of ocean basins and continental drainage systems
